Addressing a drinking water concern
The village of ‘Kurubara Karenhalli’ within the limits of Ramanagar district depicts a setting of transition from the mud thatched cottages to terraced houses in equal numbers. While agriculture is still one of the primary occupations for the 225* families residing, a large working population also are employed in nearby towns. A perennial problem faced by the village folks was availability of good drinking water. The economically backward had to entirely depend on water from natural springs for cooking and drinking needs. Addressing the concern in collaboration with ‘Bidadi Industries Association (BIA)’ and local stakeholders, BECHEM India has sponsored the RO drinking water unit for the benefit of the village folk.
