Tech seminar on ‘sustainable developments in lubrication domain’ jointly organized by Tata Steel, NLGI India and Institution of Engineers
14/10/2018, Jamshedpur: The BECHEM India team led by Kanchan Ramachandra Chatterjee, Business Manager, Heavy Engineering, won the best paper presented at the recently held ‘all India tech seminar on lubricants’. Kanchan’s novel presentation on the subject of ‘anti friction coatings and its application for steel industry’ with examples for the sections of Caster and Hot Strip Mill, made a strong case for early adoption of the technology in the Indian scenario.
The second and third spot was shared by Mr. Ronald Knecht, Quaker Lubricants and Mr. Nitin M, Hydac India for their paper presentations on ‘Fire resisting lubricants’ and ‘Condition monitoring of lubricants’ respectively.
Titled ‘Major Advances and Sustainable Developments in Lubrication Domain’, the tech seminar jointly hosted by Tata Steel, NLGI’s India chapter and ‘The Institution of Engineers’ had over 46 papers being presented by specialists from academia and industry.
